Felicity Jones is a British actress best known in the role of Jane Hawking in the critically acclaimed film The Theory of Everything. Jones has worked in plays, films and television since her 12th birthday. Her acting career started with the TV movie The Treasure Seekers. Following that, she appeared in The Worst Witch as Ethel Hallow and Weirdsisters College. In her film debut Flashbacks of a Fool she appeared as Young Ruth and went on to be featured in numerous films. In movies like The Invisible Woman or The Amazing Spider-Man 2, she gained acclaim for her acting. She was nominated for an Oscar for the first time due to her performance as the wife of Stephen Hawking's character in The Theory of Everything. Jones received high praise from the public and critics for portraying Hawking's former wife for this Stephen Hawking biopic. Jones was later seen in Inferno a thriller starring Tom Hanks. Jones received her the British Artist of year award in the year 2016 by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts Los Angeles. The award was given for her extraordinary ability and contributions to film.
